Prabowo – Gibran – After the inauguration on Sunday (20/10/2024), President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka used a vehicle called the MV3 Garuda Limousin. The car turned out to be made by PT Pindad.
“Of course we are touched and proud because our newest vehicle, the MV3 Garuda Limousine, created by the nation’s children, was used in a historic moment and was trusted by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, who continually gives trust, challenges and encourages the use of domestically made products produced by Pindad for continue to progress and improve its quality,” said the President Director of PT Pindad, Abraham Mose, quoted from Pindad’s official Instagram account, Monday (21/10/2024).
Prabowo is said to have taken part in the development of the Garuda MV3. PT Pindad Director of Technology & Development, Sigit P. Santosa also confirmed that the car has a design that shows Indonesian identity.
“The MV3 Garuda Limousine vehicle has a design that shows a strong character with a strong Indonesian national identity, equipped with safety and comfort features for the passengers inside.
Like the MV3 Maung vehicle, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto has an important role in expressing innovative ideas,
“Our engineering team and all Pindad people are working hard to make this happen. Thank God, today a domestically made product is being used directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia,” added Sigit.
MV3 Garuda Limousine is a vehicle developed from MV3. The white car weighs 2.95 tons, is 5.05 meters long, 2.06 meters wide and 1.87 meters high, and has a long wheelbase design.
The engine uses 202 PS/199 HP, AT transmission with 8 speeds, and has a maximum speed of 100 km/h. Meanwhile, in terms of body, it uses composite armor material.
The material is said to be cal munitions resistant. 7.62 x 51 mm NATO ball & cal. 5.56 x 45 mm M193 and level B5/B6 bulletproof glass. Garuda’s MB3 tires use the Run Flat Tire (RFT) type measuring 21, it is claimed that the car can still move forward even if the tire is punctured.
